Overclocking

when i overclock my Evga 6800GT I use the auto detect from the control panel, does that clock speed only activate when I enter a 3D application?

If you're using coolbits, then there should be a setting for 2D and 3D. 3D is the one you should be raising.

I always put the 2d as low as it can go, and the 3d 1% lower than max tested 5 times average.
