ok now, im not that familar with overclocking, can someone give me a link that shows how to do it? im running winxp pro. if anyone can tell me in this forum that would be great too. thanx again
i assume you are refering to ocing a video card? if you want to OC a nvidia card download coolbit and use the slider to increase the clock speeds. if you are dealing with an ATi card, use powerstrip. a google search should point to to a website that has these programs available for download
download and install the coolbits registry hack. then a new item should appear in your detanators with o/c sliders. then check enable o/c. reboot. then set the clock speed the way you want it. test setting. reboot. done
what brand and model of vid card are you wanting to overclock? those of us with the same or similar setups can let you know what range to expect. its odd how much it can vary. i have 2 of the EXACT same model ti4200s. one does 316/545, the other 316/585. didnt inspect the memory chips prior to popping it in since it is the exact same model as my other one.
