Overclocking XP 3200+ problem

I have a shuttle an35ultra board any time I change the memory ratio to anything but auto the system at 1100 mhz. Any ideas?
 
athlon XP should be running at 1:1. you can't overclock high enough to make up for the performance hit of running async.
