I recently switched my old XP-1700 "A" for an XP-1700 "B" (It came available, so I tried it out)
I am very happy with these results, but I am curious.
Should I be able to get any more out of this CPU or should I, simply, take the money and run?
The best I could do, with a T-Bread "A", is as follows:
1.76gh (185 x 9.5)
- MOBO - EPOX 8RDA (not +) rev 1 (nForce-2 without full 400fsb support / Best FSB - 185mh)
- CPU - XP-1700 (T-Bread "A")
- RAM - Crucial pc2700 (2ea 256mb sticks)
- HS & Fan ? Dr. Thermal TI-V77 (28cfm / 3200rpm)
- vCore = 1.70v
- vDimm = 2.77v
- Idle Temp = 34c
- Load Temp = 49c to 51c
- Prime Stable no errors after 16 Hours
Here are the results for the XP-1700 (T-Bread "B"):
1.95gh (185 x 10.5)
- Same system
- vCore = 1.75v
- vDimm = 2.77v
- Idle Temp = 35c
- Load Temp = 43c to 45c
- Prime Stable for 22 hours (Stopped the test so I could use the PC)
