Overclocking w\SH6

Junior Member
The SH6 supports chips up to 1ghz. If I put a 1ghz
pent III on it will it overclock over 1ghz or am
I better off getting a 933 and OC to 1ghz because the
board won't go over 1ghz?
TIA,
Sherrick

sherrick-

I think you're misunderstanding the specs of the board. What they mean by support of up to 1ghz is actual P3 chip it will support. They aren't talking about the maximum mhz it will support. For example, I have a P3 700 running at 1050mhz on my SH6. With Intel it's all locked-multiplier times FSB and if you board supports the multiplier you're golden. I hope this helps.
