I installed rivatuner 2.0 and windows alerted me that rivatuner requires a digitally signed driver... and than when i open it it cant load rivatuner64.sys driver. Its in my folder but maybe im not doing it right because it says something about admin rights. So can you help me either solve that (Cause i am admin on my computer) or can you help ntune to work. It overclocks but than when i restart my computer the overclocking is gone.

I isntalled rivatuner 2.01 and it rebooted my machine after install to disable vista's digitally signed requirement, but when I go to enable driver-level hardware overclocking, whether I reboot or not to detect default memory and core clock frequencies, it will not let me enable driver-level hardware overclocking. It's a new system and have installed vista and rivatuner twice already. The first time I didn't have this problem.

I tried to reinstall rivatuner to disable digital signing requirement again but it didn't prompt me to reboot for disable. Vista still gave me the notification that RivaTuner64.sys is not digitally signed and won't be installed. Within RivaTuner, RivaTuner64.sys is not listed in the driver list at the bottom of the window. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be.

Can someone help me enable driver-level hardware overclocking?

I have Vista X64 Ultimate and Rivatuner 2.02 wont work for me, either. It says I need the rivatuner64.sys file..... I have it.. and I am right clicking the exe and running it as administrator..

What could be wrong?

If you've installed the Vista Compatibility update: KB938979, then you're effed.

Uninstall that thru control panel & you'll then be able to disable driver signing.

Or do:

All you have to do is type "cmd" in the Search Box included in the Vista Start menu. Next, press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open a command prompt window with elevated privileges. Now enter bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS in order to disable Driver Signing and reboot.

Bear in mind that doesn't work with KB938979 installed, which is why i removed that patch.

I got sick of overclocking the video card every time I changed drivers, and Rivatuner was annoying me as well so I flashed my video BIOS with the clock speeds I wanted.

to get ntune to work, you have to save your profile after you overclock. then go to "adjust Custom rules" and do "load this profile" when "the system first loads into windows". Make sure u click on the blue underlined words to set them correctly. click accept and thats it. my overclock is saved BUT it always changes my fan speed to 59%. o well
