overclocking unwinded after stand-by...?

greetings,

my system is as follows
- windows XP w/ serv pack 2
- Asus A8N-VM CSM (MicroATX form factor)
- A64 3700+ San Diego (stock 200 X 11 = 2200Mhz)
- 2 Gig Mem (1G X 2)

The bios has one overclocking option, that is, HTT adjustment from 200 - 240 in 1 Mhz
increment. I set it to 220 for the 2420Mhz (220 X 11) and it's very stable. It passes everything (Prime95, superPI, ramtest, etc) just fine.

Now my question. I can hit 'sleep' key on keyboard to make it sleep in stand-by mode. But once i wake it by pressing power button, it comes back on, and has no issue, except the fact that it no longer overclocks. CPU-Z and Sandra reports the HTT to be 200Mhz, which should have been 220Mhz. Essentially, whenever it comes back from stand-by mode, the overclock unwinds itself.

any reason why this is so? even after stand-by i have no stability issue and can play games for hours without no issues whatsoever. but i always have to reboot to get it back to the overclock speed, which is annoying. i do not use C'n'Q so it's not an issue here.

comments appreciated. thanks
