I have a computer that is overclocked running Win XP and its 100% stable...well i want to install Linux on my computer and do a dual boot...will my CPU be stable under Linux and how do i tell? (please keep in mind that i am new to Linux)
Thanks 🙂

you can't really tell until you've tried it....

but i have an old 1 G TBird runnin @1,33 G Running RedHat 7,3 no problems for me there....
and remember do not install the boot loader in the MBR coz it'll make your XP Partition won't boot up...
install it on the / "root" partition of linux and ..then add it to the boot menu in XP...

if your system is stable you shouldn't worry about it running it on linux..
🙂 good luck
