I have an early KT333 and it is similar to yours. Also have a 1600+ Pally sitting in it. It only makes about 142 or so FSB and then something craps out. I leave it there, just because it's better to see 1800+ when it boots up than 1600+, but it really isn't much of a difference. And yes, I've had data corruption on ocassion with this setup (145+). It apparently doesn't take much with this particular combination. I got a hellacious windows corruption that took me about 3 days before I finally pulled out the hard drive and backed it up in another machine and did my favorite dance:

Format,
Re-Install,
Do-Dah,
Do-Dah.

I seem to recall some of the old Maxtor HDDs (10-20+GB) lost it at 34MHz PCI!:disgust:
