OVERCLOCKING THE NEW eVGA 3.3ns GF3 Ti200

I hope that I am not infringing on any other thread regarding this video card. I apologize if I have inadvertently done so. I had a thread about this new video card in the "Hot Deal" section, and one of the members who has already received the card, suggested that we move over to this "Video" section to show the results of overclocking.

Ok........having said all that...........how is the card overclocking?

Anyone?

Just so everyone knows, the Park Ranger was one of the "becoming more common" thread-crappers in my Hot Deals post. He is obviously doing the same thing in this one.

I think the link he referred to was the type of memory on the video card - and, yes there were a few oc'ing posts in the thread but primarily the thread was about the quality of the memory.

In any event, I have no problem subscribing to both threads in order to see the overclocking results.

SpotDancer..Using riva tuner, I got it to 230/520 without problems and 8659 3d marks. It completed 3dmark 2001 at 230/530, but with tearing. I've got to take a break now to do some real work, but will resume where I left off later... The fan is pretty small, might do better with more cooling...
 
Admins please lock this thread. There is nothing more annoying than having to track 2 threads for the same info. No offense SpotDancer but they really should kill this thread and just continue with the one RgrPark linked.

If the administrators want to lock this thread so be it; however, the thread that you are referring to concerns the type of memory and makes no statement about overclocking the VIDEO CARD.

I am sure you know that there is more to overclocking a video card than the "memory" alone.

What will be will be!

I have one Bevo. Keep the core at like 220 and then see how high the mem will go.
Core not as important as mem speed I think.

That's not very good for 3.3ns ram. Maybe it is, because the card doesn't get as much voltage as the Ti500.

My Visiontek GF3 Ti500 has 3.8ns EliteMT ram and I've been running it fine at 590mhz for awhile now. And that one guy(macci?) who has the highest default 3dmark2k1 test with a regular GF3 (same 3.8ns EliteMT ram) increased the voltage to his card and threw on some watercooled pelts and was able to increase the ram speed on his card to 670mhz.
 
Not my business....Whatever... As an member of these forums it absolutely is my business. I think there are lots of people here that hate when multiple threads are created for essentially the same topic. Stop being little babies and just use the original thread that was posted first on this forum.

Bevo.........if you go back to the original thread in Hot Deals, someone posted a link to an oc'ing utility. There is a shareware version, and a full-blown version that cost $29.95. I would, of course, try the shareware version first. It was one of the last posts in Hot Deals.

Second, you mentioned that the card doesnt have a very good fan. Maybe try a better one?

Does anyone know how to get a little more voltage to the memory??.........without burning it up, that is!!!!!!!!.........:Q:Q😀😀

I used riva tuner. It's as good as any. I'm not going to mod this with a better fan in case I decide to RMA it. I'll try some more combinations in a while, then depending on progress, I've got a Leadtech G3 ti200 that I will stick in to compare.

sounds to me like RgrPark and whiplash13 are the crybabies to me, The guy did the right thing moving an overclocking thread to the video section, do most of the tech testing here and feed the hot deals thread a little of the info. I say good job spotdancer! and I say go patrol a park rgrpark!, and get a life whiplash13!... insert middle finger emoticon here.

If you had read what RgrPark and I posted. I 100% agree that the overclocking topic should be posted here in Video. But the fact of the matter is that there is already a thread on this issue. I was simply stating that if everyone posted in one thread A) the thread would continue to grow faster since it would always be on top B) People wouldn't have to go back and forth from threads to find out the same information.

Well, from reading the other thread, it appears that these boards are not made on an 8 layer pcb like Ti500's and a few other Ti200 cards(e.g. Suma Ti200 SE). So voltage might not be the only problem and the actual pcb board itself might not be able to handle such high speeds.
