Overclocking the 1700+

Can anybody who has successfully overclocked the 1700+ tell me about it. I want to know the capabilities of my processor.
Has anybody pushed it over the 2 GhZ point? Please let me know.

Please include mobo specs and memory, along with case info and cooling methods.

My friend has a 1700+ (don't know the stepping), on a 8kha+ using a volcano 6cu. At 1.85v he has been able to hit a 151fsb (2000+ speeds). To me, 2ghz doesn't seem possible out of any 1700+. The cooling would have to be incredible, not to mention the voltage you would have to feed it.

With air-cooling, very few have over-clocked to 2GHz even with XP2000+ cpus.

For FSB-overclocking only, most posts indicate you can generally expect to reach FSB of 145MHz to 150MHz. Anything better depends on the quality and stability of cpu, board, memory and other system components.

Hope this helps!

I have my 1700+ (AGKGA) running stable at 156FSB 1.85Vcore with a Dragon orb + Delta fan cooler. That makes 1716mhz. Just 16mhz behind a would-be 2100+. At anything over that it starts to loose stability. Maybe if i unlock it i could go a little higher, but no way near 2.0Ghz i think. Guys with higher Vcore voltages, water cooling can't get past 1800mhz. No way 2.0
