These are the parts for the gaming system im planning to make:

Lian Li Silver Mid-Tower Case, Model "PC-60" -RETAIL

Seagate 80GB 7200RPM IDE Hard Drive, Model ST380011A, OEM

CORSAIR XMS Xtreme Memory Speed Series, Xtra-Low Latency 184-Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 w/ Platinum Heat Spreader, Model TWINX1024-3200XLPT - Retail

MSI "K8N Neo2 Platinum" NVIDIA nForce3 ULTRA Chipset Motherboard For AMD Socket 939 CPU -RETAIL
OR
ASUS "A8V Deluxe" VIA K8T800 Pro Chipset Motherboard For AMD Socket 939 CPU -RETAIL
(debating on which to buy... advice is appreciated)

Cooler Master Real Power 120mm fan 450W Power Supply With Active PFC, Model "RS-450-ACLY" -RETAIL

AMD Athlon 64 3200+, 512KB L2 Cache, Socket 939 64-bit Processor - Retail
Winchester core, 90nm

First of all, I'm wondering if these parts will fit together and run properly. Secondly, I'm planning to overclock the cpu as much as it can go while still being stable. Are the parts good enough for overclocking the 3200+? All total, it's going to cost 900~ dollars, including shipping. Is that a good price?

Well, sounds alright to me...

As for the motherboards, IMHO, Asus is awesome, but then again so is nForce... and I've heard MSI is a pretty good company... I'm debating this myself, and I think I'm going to go with the MSI...

Try the Epox NF3.
If you want to push the memory, see if you can get some Patriot DDR 400 CL2 (TCCD chips) for around the same price.
I haven't heard how CM's PSUs stack up to the known brands yet, so maybe for now get an Antec/Enermax/Fortron/another one of the usual PSU suspects.

Is there much of a difference between the epox nf3 and the msi nf3/asus board? Because I was considering the epox nf3, but the newegg is out of stock right now and I dont want to wait much longer because it's the holiday season. And I'd rather order everything from the same site so it's easier to keep track of.

I found some patriot ram on newegg's site, is it good? Here's the link: http://www.newegg.com/app/View...=20-220-033&depa=1

More info on whether or not the psu I picked is good enough for my needs would be appreciated.

That's the RAM jpeyton mentioned, I think.
I suggested the Epox only because it has an NF3 and it's not an MSI (users here seem to dislike them based on issues with board quality).

How about the asus board then? Also, when you have the 3000+ and the 3200+ and both are overclocked to the max, is there much of a difference? Because if there wasn't, I could save 100 dollars.

The ASUS will be fine. And a 3000+ might take a little more voltage to get where you want it. And a 3200 has a little bit better chance of OCing higher because it has a 200mhz headstart

So do you think I should get a 3200+ instead of the 3000+? And if I want to overclock the gpu along with the cpu, what kind of power supply should I get? (watts, brand, fan, etc.). Should I get a name brand cpu heatsink/fan instead of the one that comes with the box?
