Today, got a nice 1600+ AROIA stepping CPU. My local hardware dealer is on vacation (of course during the time when I want to overlclock.. and actually spend some money on this beast). So I went across the region to a store and overpayed on a Vantec Aeroflow. Supposedly 5600rpm, though doesn't seem to go upwards of 5300. Anyways... 1st time overclocker me turns the voltage up to 1.85 and sets the mult 12.5 and bangs up the dram to 2.5 and cranks the fsb to 152. Works like a charm! This CPU Rocks!! Just under 500Mhz overclock. What we never hear on the forum is people actually completing and overclock problem free! Always this and that, problem this, problem that! No problems here, so put your hands together for a nice swift overclock problem free and about...46*C atm. 🙂 Gimme Feedback, running an Albatron KX400+ w/ 768 DDR 333 samsung stuff.
 
congrats! i remember the thrill i got when i first got my oc. don't wanna rain on ur parade but it's 46idle with an aeroflow, what is it under load? and have u run any stress tests like prime95. i got my current system up to 200FSB and it ran normal things like web ok, but failed prime on the 2nd test everytime. needless to say i had to back off to ~190 to get it really stable.
 
That is a nice overclock for a tbred A or pali (not sure which it is).
Don't think that we all have problems though. The nature of the beast is that most people only post if they are having trouble.
