Bear in mind that that's with 4 instances of Prime 95 running (so 100% CPU usage - all cores maxed) and it's quite warm in my room at the moment.

Yeah, they're essentially two E6700's, so they're about as hard to cool as two separate E6700's. In other words, it's about the same as cutting your heatsink in half, and trying to cool an E6700 with each half of it.

Hehe I imagine you're right. This morning with a cooler ambient air temp the CPU is idling at 39 degrees. Oh and I'm getting around the 14,100 mark in 3dmark 06. Need to do some tweaking now.

just curious, do the super loose timings @ super high bandwidth, i.e. 800mhz ram @ 6-6-6 timings, actually provide any performance increase over lower bandwidth ram @ tighter timings?

Actually i'm not running my memory at it's full potential. It should be noted that I didn't end up getting the Dominator PC2-9136 but the Dominator PC2-8500 for a lot less money. That will do 1066mhz at 5-5-5, but as I said, i'm only running it at 800mhz 5-5-5.

I like the sig too, I just can't remember where I got the quote from anymore!

Oh and I've updated my sig with my new full spec.
