Overclocking RAM

I have a question... if your processor can only support PC3200 RAM, but you overclock your RAM will your processor be able to support the new overclocked speed? OR if you overclock your processor your overclocked RAM will be supported.

What i'm trying to overclock:
AMD 3200+ 64
OCZ 1 GB PC3200 (2x512) RAM

gotchas are hypertransport multiplier, agp/pci locks, SATA locks, all of which are motherboard dependent

uhh sorry, i'm kinda confused to what you posted. i'm a noobie at overclocking...

To anwser the question is as follows. No A64 platform supports RAM past PC3200 without overclocking it.

The difference is that the manufacturer rates it (overclocked) for stability and quality. In additition they verify that it can be easily overclocked to that speed on a wide range of platforms.

In other words, yes it will work fine.
