Hello. I'm new to overclocking. This is probably a very basic question for you guys and hopefully it won't bore you too much. My computer is configured as follows:

Celeron 700 FCPGA (66 Mhz FSB)
No-name slotket
No-name hsf (thinking about BigMoFo-Rex)
Abit BE6-II (HPT 370 controller chip...mobo rev. 1.2?)
128 Megs PC100 Ram in Dimm slot 1
Voodoo3 3000 PCI video card
Maxtor 20Gig hdd
Memory timing set to 2-2-2, ECC enabled

Here's the confusing part for me. Q3 timedemo 1 demo001.dm3 yields around 65-69 fps at 66 Mhz fsb (700 Mhz). When I bump the fsb to 75 Mhz, 1/2 PCI to FSB ratio, the frame rate drops to 43??? At 83 Mhz FSB, 1/2 PCI to FSB ratio, frame rate went to 55 but a BIOS checksum error occured(probably heat because temp. went from 44C to 50C at this setting according to Hardware Doctor that came with the mobo). Does anyone have any idea why the frame rate would DROP when increasing the FSB? This seems very strange to me.

I tried the same experiment on a Celeron 466 in an Abit LX-6 mobo. When I bumped the FSB frequency from 66 to 75 Mhz, the frame rate increased by about 5.

One more question while I have your attention. Anyone know if the BigMoFo-Rex will work with a set up like this?

Thank you very much for any insight you can provide!
