When I try to overclock my computer instantly freezes. Even if I only OC 1 MHz. I've been using ClockGen but no luck. Is there anything I can do to prevent this and get a lil' more speed out of my processor??

Anyone know what causes the lock-ups?

No your hardware should be pretty overclockable, have you tryed overclocking via your BIOS?

Hmm, you might want to make sure you dont have Cool 'n' Quiet enabled. Make sure you've locked down the AGP and PCI bus, I think you have to set the AGP bus to 67MHz and then it locks. Give the RAM 2.8Vs and then see if it will overclock, if not try updating the BIOS and see if that makes an impact.

You got the latest BIOS, if not get it. When those DFI NF3 boards came out they had some notorious problems, if I remember correctly, most of which have been fixed with BIOS updates.

OK, I just updated the BIOS and I still have the same problems. I'll check Cool n Quiet next. Anything else it could be??

maybe you need to decrease the HTT multiplier... have you tried OCing per the guide, so trying to find the max of your board/CPU/memory?
