Overclocking PCI-e frequency

I noticed when overcloking my cpu that you can change the speed of the PCI-e bus. Does anybody do this? Can it improve your 3d peroformance?

Went from 100 to 125 once to test this...no change in 3dMark05...but never messed around with it more...
I think PCIe 16x has more than enough bandwidth and speed...increasing clock cycles should not change much...

But anyway: Other experiences anyone?

It shouldn't really bring about any performance increase since the bandwidth offered by PCIe is so far beyond what most desktop peripherals request.

I've read that for ATi cards 105 is best and for nvidia cards 102-ish is best...

but i dunno how "best" is defined 🙂

i run mine at 105 anyway
