Overclocking on Nforce4 Vanilla Chipset

My question is in regards to the article introducing NF4 chipset back when it first came out:

http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2248&p=2
to quote:
The big disadvantage of the vanilla nF4 chipset is that it only supports 800 Hyper Transport. In addition, the HT bus is locked on the basic nF4 to prevent overclocking of the Hyper Transport. This means that the basic nForce4 is not a good choice for the enthusiast, who is better served by the Ultra and SLI chipsets.

Is this true for all Nforc4 vanilla boards? I am sure i have seen some that Support 1000 Mhz HT. The board in particular I am looking at is the MSI Neo4-F, not only does the manufacturer list it at 1000 Mhz HT and I have also read that overclocking on it is possible as well. Can anyone verify any of this? thanks

i think i found a bug in the posting script or something. I thought Message Text was Absolutely required before submitting a post.

Nope, you can post blanks all day long:Q

But to your question, I haven't heard of the limitations of which you speak. I thought the only difference with the Vannilla chipset was the lack of dual RAID, dual LAN, SATAII support, and Active Armor firewall.

im starting to think that maybe Wesley was talking about in the article was the Nforce4 4x Chipset instead of the Nforce4 Vanilla
