Hello guys, i'm a rookie at messing with computers and especially at overclocking. I was wondering, how do the "overclock %" and "adpative overlocking %" do. What exactly is the difference. Right now i have my computer set at "overclock 5%." I was also wondering if i had to turn of my "cool and quiet" technology for my overclocking to work b/c the program that came with the motherboard says my processory only reaches speeds of 1800 mhz (i have a winchester 3000+ at 1.8) but when i right click on my computer it says 1.89 GHz.
Basically, i just want to overclock my compter a little bit and get good performance out of it without risking damage since i really don't know what i'm doing.
My system:
asus a8v
amd 3000 + winchester
6600GT
1 gig of ram 400
