3.0Ghz dual core Pentium D 930 at 800Mhz FSB
ATI Radeon 1650X Ice Q (overclocked with Riva Tuner)
2x1 gig Wintec 533mhz dual channel RAM
APEVIA 500W Power Supply 2 (120mm fans)
2 80mm case fans

Thats all the specs that are really important. My rig gereraly runs about 34C and I know I can overclock it becuase of how cold it stays. I also have Arctic Silver 5 thermal compound on the CPU. I just got the ASRock 4CoreDual SATA-2 with the standard bios and I am goin gto update it soon but I just dont see how I am supposed to overclock it even though it says it has some special United Overclocking Technology thing. I dont know. I bought all this stuff a while ago and did not feel like spending a load of cash when all I need is a decent system. Anways, any directions on overclocking would be fantastic.

Try using SETFSB (http://www13.plala.or.jp/setfsb/). I'm told it is not such a good way of overclocking but since I used it I'm telling u. I overclocked my CPU from 2.8ghz to 3.1ghz. There are better ways of overclocking using the BIOS, but since my mobo doesn't have those options i haven't tried them.

I would use anything right now. I have been all over Forums trying to figure it out and people try over clocking on my mobo but there are no step by step instructions or anything close to it. Any tips on using this thing. I have never seen it before.

That board really isn't very good for overclocking. Check out the specific threads for that board in the motherboard forum.

I know virtually nothing about overclocking, but I have the same motherboard as you.

I set the CPU in the bios from auto to manual. Then it allowed me to change the speed from default of 266.

I changed it 300. And now my cpu speed went from 2.34 to 2.71

Its running very good (without crashing) except for one problem:

Now my SATA DVDplayer won't run any .exe files from the drive - even autorun.exe!

It has got to be the overclocking causing this because I've gone back and forth changing only the cpu clock speed in the bios and the DVD player always goes back to full functionality as soon as I run at the default cpu clock speed again.

Maybe someone knows another tweak in the bios I can use to make the SATA port functional again when I'm overclocking the cpu??

The 4CoreDual-SATA2 is fine for overclocking. As long as you don't have a SATA drive connected, haha. As far as I can tell, no matter what you do, overclocking even in the slightest will cause SATA drives (both HDD and optical) to become useless. I've tried playing with all the settings in the BIOS to no avail. Even updating the BIOS didn't help. Well, it let me use my HD 3850, but it had no effect on overclocking.
