I recently read an article at 3dguru.com and I was going through it and apparently someone was able to overclock their geforce 4 MX 420 from 250mhz core to 320mhz core and 333 memory to 500hz with no additional cooling!!!! Now i don't know if that is all true but i desided to overclock my Geforce 4 MX 420 to 300 core and 400 memory and it seems to work fine. Now I didn't add any additional cooling and as u know this card has no active cooling. I have ran benchmarks lots of times and i have got no errors. Are there any other issues that i need to talk into consideration or am i in for the clear?

Id say your pretty much in the clear if you could get through a benchmark program such as 3DMark, but I would leave it on overnight just to be certain.

"500hz" is unimpressize :p

dont leave ur comp on overnight, cuz incase it burns out or something, instead play a graphics intensive game like max payne for a while, that's how i tested to see how high my 1.4ghz athlon could go reliably
