RAID 0 SSDs grant a noticable performance boost. Quite a few tasks will benefit. If you're going to criticize, point the finger at his dual Xeons - very few things can benefit from having that much cpu power.
well the motherboard might be to blame for no OC. i dont know of any 771 boards that were mainstream OCing boards.

If its not a option in the bios, then voltage adjustment via a program is very unlikely. FSB is different, most boards can be forced to OC through them and same with the multi. Your best bet for more voltage likely comes down to a pin-mod for the 771 if it is documented, and I dont know if it is or not. 771 are not known for being OC boards but for servers.
