I just got a GeForce3 Ti200 and I want to overclock it. I dont expect to hit Ti500 clock speeds, but Id like to move up a good bit from stock. From the stock 175 I was hoping to get the core to 220 or so and the RAM, from stock 400 to around 450(but id perfer to be closer to 475). What kind of cooling am I going to need? Am in in water cooling range? Or are there good enough conventional coolers? Any suggestions, tips, links?
thanks,
-doug

what is the brand of your Ti200?
PNY, Leadtek, gainward will o/c pretty high. My PNY is running at 220/500 with stock cooling. I havent pushed it any further.

There is a huge discussion about o/c'ing the Ti 200 in the video forum. Since I'm waiting on my Visiontek to arrive, Ive been reading it. I think a lot of people are getting good results with their stock cooling on many boards, inculding the Visiontek. You should check it out.

check out the thread http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=31&threadid=629093[/L] .

results are mixed on the VT, basically determined by when your board was made and how fast the memory is on your card.[L=here.] There should be a white sticker on the back of your card with 4 digits ending in 01. Seems like this is the week/year of when the card was made. Theres also an etching on the upper-left side of the card with 4 digits in the old boxy lcd lettering. Seems like dates before 4301 (week 43, year 01) don't seem to do well b/c it seems like they went to 4ns RAM after that week. Mine is a 4501 and I'm running 240/510 with stock cooling. May try and push the memory some more though :)
