Overclocking my Athlon XP 2500+

I am trying to overclock my 2500+ to 3200+. Currently I have one fan on the side of my case, 2 vantecs on the back of my case, and a Thermaltake Silent Boost sitting on the processor. If I leave my machine idle, it runs at about 38-40C (seems maybe a bit high?). I have read a few posts here (and elsewhere) suggesting that with some improvments to cooling, and changing the FSB to 200, you can easily get 3200+. Unfortunatly after the first boot, no go. So I went through the process of upping the voltage a bit each time, until I could get a boot. Finally at 1.775 I got it to boot into windows, but doing much of anything would cause it to lock up. Now I have read that going much more than that (voltage wise) could be really bad for the CPU. Could I need more fans (perhaps one or two on the front)? Or is there somethign else I need to try (changing something with memory, etc)

My sig has more specs.

Thanks,
Ben

i RMAed your motherboard because it had many flaws i couldn't live with, a general all around dud of a board. if you want 200FSB you have to jack the FSB from the 166 setting. i couldn ever push it past 197mhz FSB on that motherboard, my new one allows me to hit 225 with the same ram and cpu.

just toy more with thet settings, you should easily hit 3200+ by pushing the FSB a little at a time.

Hmm... myabe I am missing it but I only see the ability to go from 166 to 200, and nothing in between. So I am not sure how I could push it a little at a time. Is there another setting in the BIOS I am missing?

The only reason I bought this board was because of recomendations I had on another forum, and from a few websites I had googled. It was mentioned as a solid board for OC'ing and just an all around good board....
