Overclocking issues, please help

I was attempting to overclock my computer I have the following

AMD 4000+
ASUS A8N-E (nForce4) with 1013 bios
2x512 OCZ Platinum 3200 DDR @ SPD (2-2-2-5-2)
HIS x850 XT
2 sata Hitachi hard drives 160gb each

with a simple ai overclock of 10% I hang at windows boot.. nothing
if I can't overclock at 10%... what can I do, it just seems rediculus.

I don't know much about this overclock "wizard" (or whatever that is) but you should set everything manually. Take a look at the AMD overclocking guide. It's at the top of the list in the OC forum.
