Hello!
I am planning to buy a motherboard, processor and RAM.
I will use the computer for video-editing, programming, and ordinary tasks.

Right now I am planning to buy an i7-860, because it is good performance/price.

I consider to buy a GIGABYTE GA-P55M-UD2-motherboard. In Sweden it costs about 140 dollars, and I found it bargain (only used five days) for 100 dollars.

What are your experiences with overclocking an i7-860 using that motherboard?

Also tell me which RAM you used and more about your configurations.

I found this excellent review: Link

But, they are using 2000+-mhz memories, which are quite costly. So I wonder what results one can get using 1333-mhz-memories, or 1600 mhz-memories.

Thanks!

you might want to consider the p55m-ud4 if you want to ad more memory down the line. I've got the i5-750@ 3.8Ghz with this board, but turned it down to 3.6 due to heat (89C vs. 73C)
