OVERCLOCKING! HELP! PLEASE!

yep thats rite im about to over clock my poor little video card.

i have a nvidia gforce 4MX, AMD 3000+ CPU, and 2 512's of ram...and thats about all i know.
i only get about 40-50 FPS on CSS, and im looking for more, i've tweaked the hex out of my windows XP for better proformance and i think im ready to overclock. right now my core frequency is 200MHz and memory is 334 MHz, i was thinking, ease it up, maybe 225 and 340? then see how hot it gets?
but keep in mind i dont know what im doing? any hints or tips would be great

*note. im looking to buy a new video card soon but i want to experment overclocking but i rather not fry this on board video card and do damage to my motherboard.

use coolbits.
open run
type "regedit" no quotes!
The Key that you need to modify is located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak
right-click inside the right pane, and choose New>DWORD value
Name the value "Coolbits" (witout the quotes). Right click on Coolbits, and choose Modify. Change the Value data to "3", and click OK. Reboot

rught click desktop, select properties, click settings tab, then click advanced button.
click geforce4 mx tab,and then click clock settings(left side)

oc it 10%, check stability by running some games and benchies(3dmark2001se is great for geforce2/4mx), then move it 5-10mhz at a time until you get artifacts. when you do, move it down to the last stable point.

ok i got that done but what should i move first, core frequency or memory? or both at the same time at the same rate?

opps, sorry i figured it was about all types of overclocking.

That vid card shouldn't be overclocked. Its not going to improve CSS.

You just flat out need a new video card.

the only way to start as a newbee is change 1 and only one thing at a time and carefully measure, the difference. repeat one until you know the individual effects of every variables
then start combining two variables. etc. Don't be surprised if two variables make things worse. the first mainframe i overclocked was an AMDAHL working with Gene

on the mx, id go bith furst, then try 1 at a time until you hit a wall.
