Dear Friends,
I have got the following system;

AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum
512*2 Dual Channel Kingstone HyperX DDR3200
MSI 6800GS 256MB DDR-III
Hitachi Deskstar 160GB SATA-II
Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 120GB
Thermaltake PurePower 500watt PSU

A few days ago I wanted to overclock my system from the bios. I selected Sergent option (which is 1%). Unfortunately, that didn't work for me. Windows XP was unable to boot. So, I had to disable that.

So, I want software overclocking. What do you think? Is that good? How about MSI Core Cell or nVidia nTune? I've currently both of them installed. But, I never overclocked my system using them. Which would be better? Core Cell or nTune?

Right now when I'm launching nTune that shows me a error which is saying -
"Warning: your PCI clock is currently set to track the HT bus. If you adjust the clock for the HT bus, the PCI bus clock will change as well. Please consult your motherboard manual to determing how to disable this behaviour before proceeding.

NVIDIA is not responsible for data loss or hardware damage resulting from ignoring this warning message."

What to do so that I don't get that message anymore?

Any help from anybody?

Thanks in advance

I have that system board BTW. This is the guide I used:

I used nTune on this board at one point but never got that error message. IMO it's rather serious, and you should fix it before overclocking as running the PCI bus higher than normal doesn't get you much and will likely cause problems down the road. You might want to try updating your BIOS using the MSI LiveUpdate monitor or whatever it's called.

But I would recommend using the BIOS to overclock your system. From my experience, nTune 3 is a confusing, buggy POS that can't manage to load the right profiles at the right times. And I really wanted it to work, too.

Hmm. nTune's been very faithful for me, as has Core Center.

I'm using a Neo3 Platinum with a Newcastle 3500+, so heh.

But if nTune's not working much, well, I've not done much in the ways of the Dynamic overclocks from the Core Cell, but the Core Center software can let you do some nice minor tweakage with FSB and volts and stuff.. Might be more useful, if you find a good guide for general overclocking.

I never push mine too hard, my HSF blows big wind, I stay at 45 idle and 55C under load.
