Overclocking GF2 GTS - Do you keep stock fan when overclocking?

I saw on 2cooltek.com there is a Geforce GTS cooling kit that comes with a nice heatsink/fan and ram heatsink combo for $32. Is this really needed, or can you overclock it with just the stock fan on there already? I guess it just depends on how much your going to overclock it..I'm just wondering how much that kit would actually help out.

I dont think you need to get a new fan. When Im benchmarking my system I run my G-Force 2 at 215 for the gpu and 420 for the memory I think my card is a good one my other g-force 2 wont overclock that high and when im not overclocking i run it at 210 and 375

I run my ELSA GLADIAC Geforce2 GTS/Pro (not sure which it is, it's an engineering sample) 64mb at 220mhz (stock) and 400mhz (+67mhz) but I know it will go higher. I've got a blorb in the mail, I'll feel better about overclocking the processor when that comes in.

You can overclock the ram now, obviously a new HSF doesn't help (unless you buy the lil heatsinks for the memory chips, they're so cute :p) and you can probably o/c the proc a little.

Overclocking the GPU past 220 wont do anything the card is held back by the memory

But, overclocking the memory does help. I can get my memory up to 410mph (hehe) and that gives me +10-15% framerate increase

Hey man, I bought the same kit that you are talking about at 2cooltek and I have not seen any significant cooling changes since I put it on. Would say to save your money......not worth it!!!

Has anyone every overclocked their geforce 2 and gotten WORSE results? I ran 3dmark2000, got a score, and then as I proceeded to overclock higher my 3dmark score would go down. What's up with that? I just used the coolbits registry tweak to do it. I noticed performance would suck a little too in gaming also.
