Overclocking FX-55. Should I get DDR500?

I'm starting to build a second rig, and I'd like to OC my Clawhammer FX55 (130nm) but I've been using corsair DDR400, and I'm planning on faster ram. Is it true that an FX can take advantage of much faster ram, and so should I get OCZ gold DDR500? How much of an OC will I get out of a clawhammer with an XP120 and excellent airflow. What's the best way to get a decent improvement on the FXs power?

Officially, I think AMD certifies the FX's for DDR500, however people many people have gotten Athlons running with up to DDR600.
I'd say if you spent the money on an FX, might as well spend the money on faster ram to really take advantage of the overclocking. Make sure your motherboard can run at the rated speeds of your ram though. (hopefully it can do high speed low latency settings)
