Hello, for this configuration, I would like to do the overclock, AMD A10 7850K ,mb Asrock extreme6, cabinet Corsair Graphite 780T Full-Tower, I prefer LOW-PROFILE COOLERS


What a type suggest LOW PROFILE COOLERS me for an overclock from 4,5 To 5.0 Ghz ?

Before wasting any money...make sure the chip can even reach 5 Ghz at all.

4.7 Ghz is already a very lottery-like win. Make sure you can at least somehow post with 5 Ghz...because otherwise there's just no point.

Kaveri does not overclock as high as the FX chips because of the different process that was used.

I'm probably going to regret replying to a new reg, but...

1. 5Ghz on a 7850 is a very rare chip. I highly doubt you have one.
2. You're looking at dissipating about 220 watts of heat. You aren't going to be doing that with a low profile cooler.

You would be better off with the 7870k. It can reach 4.7 GHz more reliably. Also, do not waste your time with the A88x Extreme 6+. There are better boards than that.

Why do you need a low-profile HSF in a full tower?
