I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get some info on overclocking for AMD's. I know nothing about overclocking except that I wanna do it. Thanks
Check out overclockers.com and amdzone.com There is a database (overclockers.com) there that you can check your puter and see what other people have o/ced to. Make sure you read up before you start o/cing though and make sure you have enough cooling since that is the biggest factor in a stable o/c.
Right here😉...Just up the multiplier to 5.5x and the voltage to 2.5v. As long as you have proper cooling it shouldn't have any problems reaching this speed. At least the 3 that I have done work fine.
I have NEVER been able to get an extra 50Mhz out of an AMD K6-2 CPU. I have tried on 5 or more all on different mother boards. I guess I am just unlucky.
K6s are not very good for overclocking. I have a question though, is the clock multiplier changed by jumpers on most mobos? My friend has a k6-2 and he doesn't know for sure. I think his tyan board doesn't come with that option.
LED,
Thanks for the info, but I have no idea what that means. I'm obviously not too good with computers, and if it takes too long to explain, can you direct me to a site where I can learn something? Thanks.
