Overclocking FAQ?

Hey All,

I was interested in overclocking, but haven't gotten the new rig yet. I just wanted to know what is required, the do's and don'ts of the trade, and so on. Where should I start? What Programs should I be looking at? Is there a good website for information? I'll start lurking around this forum, thanks in advance!

Oh, my system specs are:

CPU: AMD 2800+ Barton
Motherboard: nForce 2 Epox 8RDA+
Video Card: ATI 9800 Pro
Memory: 2 x Corsair 512Mb PC2700 CAS2.0 (CMX512-2700C2PT) = 1 Gig (Dual Channel)
Hard Drive: Western Digital 120GB 8Mb Buffer (WD1200JB)
CD-RW: Samsung SW-252B 52x24x52x EIDE 8mb Cache
Case: Antec Performance Plus AMG 1080

It's sinful to get only PC2700 RAM for that kinda specs 😀

Grab at least PC3200 to get some headroom for serious overclocking
