You'll likely need to replace your heatsink, if you plan on getting very far.

on stock you can get a good overclock. Just go up slowly and keep monitoring your temperature. Use CoreTemp to monitor the temperature.

In BIOS, set memory multiplier to 2.00. Start overclocking from 266 MHz on FSB and go up. You should easily get to 333 Mhz without any change on Vcore or MCH V. make sure PCIE speed is set to 100 MHz and your ddr2 volt is +.2 (I think gskills use 2.0-2.1 V).

P.S. If you want a better heat sink, go to newegg's HSF collection and find the sunbeam silent whisper. It's just like artic cool 7 but much cheaper. (sunbeam actually makes tuniq tower)

Link to above heatsink fan. I'm saving up to build a similar setup - DS3 rev2 with solid caps/1333 support and a 6400. Its taking long enough to save the $$, so my choices keep changing, with the 4400 (even tho its not out for a few months) being the next component to look at in comparison to the 6400.

I'm undecided on the HSF so far, but several Hot Deal posts on the Arctic Cooler 7 for around $20 seem to be worth looking at. I'm running a Gigabyte G-Power Pro HSF on my Opty 165 (HSF has blue LEDS built into it) and I've been happy with that. I'm currently cutting a window in the case and I have two blue CC tubes to add it it, so all of a sudden I've been bitten by the bling bug (also finishing up another window kit on a Chieftec full tower Dragon case in green). I've heard good things about the stock unit, but those blasted blue LEDs are calling out to me as I sleep.
