i have a asus a8n-sli premium, with a amd 3000+ venice with kingston value ram 512 mb pc2700. i need to know a few numbers that are recommanded to change to get an oc above 2 ghz. i just don't understand the guides. and sorry its just pc2700. i know that its not that good but i want the most oc i can get with these components

Set LDT to 3x
Set RAM to 133 (266)
Set multiplier to 9x
Set HTT to 234.

There's an easy 2100 MHz.

You might have to bump vcore up a little, but not likely.

Oh, & read some more.

You'll need to understand more if you want to get alot higher than what i stated.

Set the "max memory clock" in the DDR submenu of the CPU config page to "DDR200"
And set HTT multi to 3x on the CPU config page

On the jumper free page set
HTT=250
cpu multi=9x
ddrvolts=auto
cpuvolts=1.55

This should boot you up at 2250mhz with no problem. Then use "Clockgen NF4" (free download) to increase the HTT in windows 5-10mhz at a time, and use Prime95 or SuperPI to test for stability as you go up. You should be able to hit somewhere between
HTT 270 x 9 = 2530 and HTT 310 x 9 = 2790, depending on how good the chip is🙂

Once you find your max, test it with Prime 95 for several hours. Then go back to bios and set your HTT to the max that you found using this method, and your set.
