Hey i was planning on overclocking my 2.5 cas 256 mb 'nanya' ddr. Not the best brand, but its the brand OCZ uses on there pc-2400 and pc-2700 models.

Im using an Ak31, how can i increase the speed of my ddr? all i seemed to be able to do is take it from 2.5 cas to 2cas.

Btw, can i damage my ram by messing with the speed?

I listed my ak31 bios settings on page 6 of the motherboard section under the post "help shuttle ak31a freezing problems". I've had no freeze-ups or re-boots since I found the right settings. I set my cpu core voltage lower to keep my xp running cooler, and allow me to use slower, quieter fans. These settings may help you overclock.

If you can, set your ram to cas 2 with 4way interleaving and reboot. If it runs solid, then I'd go with raising the fsb ( you might need to raise your vdimm voltage a notch or two). Yes, oc'n can hurt your system, from just shortening it's lifespan a little to killing it now! (exteme cases only). I'm running mine at 153fsb, with my vdimm volts up 3 clicks. Let me know if I can help you anymore...:)

Umm ive set my cas to 2 and the 4 way interleaving and im running stable....

Is my DDR clock speed susposed to raise with the fsb speed cause i messed with the settings and cant get it to go above 266.

You can increase DDR's clock speed can't you? ive tried all different settings and am running at 140 fsb.
