Overclocking chances with an unlocked bright-green core week 25 Duron 600MHz?

I just got my new Duron 600MHz and the first things I noticed about it were it's bright-green core and unlocked L1 bridges.. My last Duron 600MHz was a locked week 36 with a metallic core (looked bluish-green at an angle) and I was able to get it up to 950MHz. What are my chances with this one?

Well, it'll do 950MHz for about forty-five minutes at 1.7v.. Then I get a blue screen and I eventually have to restart my computer. I've noticed one thing, though.. The highest voltage I can set it to in the BIOS is 1.7v.. With my 800MHz, I can set it up to 1.8v.. Is there anything I can connect on the CPU itself (perhaps with a pencil or Loctite resin) that'll allow me to use up to 1.8v? I'm almost positive that the reason it's not doing anything higher than 950MHz is because it's not getting enough voltage.

Once I find out if I can set the voltage any higher, sure, I'll race. ^_^

Is connecting all the L7 bridges in order to make the default voltage 1.85 safe? Something happened to my first Duron 600MHz after messing around with the voltage too much.. I don't think it fried or anything, since the max temp. that the BIOS showed was around 35 C.. I'm not really sure what happened, I just don't want it to happen again.. Also, after connecting all of the L7 bridges, can I go back into the BIOS and possibly lower it if I have any problems? Or is it stuck at 1.85v after I connect the bridges?

Once you connect all of the L7 bridges, the voltage will just DEFAULT to 1.85v...you can go into the BIOS and lower it to any available voltage you want to use.

Ahh, alright.. I think I'll go up to Radio Shack and buy some more thermal paste before I connect those L7 bridges.. I think I might be running low.

I got my thermal paste and I closed all of the L7 bridges with a pencil.. Set it to 1.825v and 100*10.0 and I'm running perfect, for now (been running for about ten minutes). My motherboard monitoring programs show that the CPU's actually getting 1.89v.. Is this safe? Should I try anything higher or lower?
