i'm running at 200x11.5, vcore is 1.775, memory timing is 8,3,3,2.5, and mem voltage is at 2.7.

is there any way i can squeeze a little bit more out of this xp 3000 and a7n8x del. combo???

my tems are 42C idle according to asus probe and like 47c full load

the setup is 100% stable, but i want a litle more...

how is everybody getting over the 2.3 gHz barrier?

your best bet is your voltages. your memory is decent so it should take higher fsb if you choose to go that route. but probably the only way you can get more MHz is to increase your Vcore. if your lucky you won't need more than 1.85v.

i personally had your exact problem, but i took a risk and put my voltage up to 1.975 and was able to get 2.43Ghz out. if you have good cooling you should be able to raise your voltage a little more...just watch your temps under load.

also i remember that i was able to get 2.36 with my Vcore at 1.800 and my multi at 11.5 and my fsb at 205. you might wanna try that, cause i would bet that a 2800 and a 3000 overclock about the same.

Instead of lasting 50 years it might last only 10-15... are you still using a 486 DX2 from 1993?

are you sure about that? remember northwood sudden death syndrome?

Dude, that's rough! :brokenheart: I'm also running my my 3000+ @ 11.5x200 on my 8RDA+, but at stock voltage. My memory is running 2-3-3-8, again at stock voltage. I'm sure I could pump up the voltage for a better overclock, but I'm a wussy. Stock voltage and no physical mods have served me well over the years.

Is it normal to have to overvolt so much on Asus mobos?

I tested the 11 instead of 8 theory, and it did not work on my setup. UT2003 had noticable delays and discontinuties, and S@H performance went into the bucket. But I thought your Corsair XMS PC3200 was good stuff, shouldn't you be able to run it at 400Mhz at stock voltage?

I wouldn't go over 1.85. however anything under 1.9 seems to be safe and will last you 4 years at the least... ( i would think....)

However, if you break the 1.9 mark, you are starting to burn capacitors up and what not...

Go with 1.8 then 1.85, if you can't get much higher stable, you are at the peak of your chip...

:D

Nice overclock so far...
