I have a DFI Lanparty NFII Ultra mobo with an Athlon XP2500+ and 512MB of Crucial PC3200 and when I try to overclock it, I get artifacts in pictures on the internet. I think it is only jpg, but I don't know for sure. Right now I have it at 133X15 and the pictures are just a little messed up. It will run fine at 133X17 except for the pictures on the internet being messed up. It is only running about 43C. Do I need to change the voltage or something? let me know if you need more info, I am still new to overclocking. Oh yeah, I have a Gainward Gforce4 Ti 4200 vid card, too. Thanks for your help.

For that to happen and it to be the cpu's fault that would have to be one extremely unstable CPU....It woul crash pcmark, prime95, etc very fast.....

It could be the memory or maybe need you to raise the vagp up a notch.

Oops, I just read something else and I think that it should be 166x11. Is that right and would it make a difference?

so far i know through my OC experiences that too high a clock and a poor power supply can result in funny pixels in BMP, opened JPEG pics, and MPEG movies. I first noticed this when i was working on photoshop, and soon fixed the problem after i replaced my 350watt PSU with a 420watt one

I had thought about the power supply, but I didn't know it would cause that. Its an Antec 350W, but I have 3 hard drives, 2 optical drives, a floppy, tv capture card, and 5 fans or so. Do you think I need to upgrade it? What's a good ps, that's fairly inexpensive? Could the power supply cause my computer to randomly lock-up? Its been doing that as well, no bsod or anything, just frozen. Thanks again for your help.
