Overclocking Barton Retail CPU

Does the heatsink/fan combo that comes with the retail AMD Barton proc provide sufficient cooling to achieve respectable gains. Im buying the 2500+ Barton (1.8 GHz) and I want to hit atleast 2.0-2.2 Ghz with the retail heatsink/fan. Is this feasible?

More than likely. The retail HSF's aren't the best for cooling, but it will get the job done.

Depends on your stepping, but more than likely you'll be able to hit 2.2 ghz from 1.83 (depends on your memory). I was using PC3200 Generic, with retail HSF and 2500+, hit 2.2 with 11x200. I averaged at roughly 51C full load, 44 idle.
