I have been running my classic athlon 750@950 for several months smoothly. I use a utility in DOS when I boot up to change my Athlon L2 cache multiplier to 1/3. All of the other settings are controlled by my GFD. The chip is running at 9.5 x 100 @ 1.7 volts.

Anyway,

I am concerned about booting into Win2000 because I don't know how to change the L2 cache setting in Win2000. Can I run a DOS file as I boot into Win 2000? Is there a utility available for this that is designed to be used in Win 2000?

Also, has anyone had problems running Unreal Tournament in Win 2000?

Thanks in advance,

Some dos applications won't run in Win 2000. I don't know about the program you are talking about.

About UT: It didn't perfom that good in Win 2000 for me. Once in a while it would hickup for a few secs.

No, you will not be able to boot Win2K from DOS. Unlike Win9x, it is a *real* OS instead of just a fancy GUI that is built on top of DOS. You can run DOS apps from Win2k (including at startup), however, I doubt that the prog you have will work since Win2K's kernel puts heavy restrictions to direct hardware access.
