Hello every one iam new to this community , i own a 7600 GS ( fail i know xD ) i play cod4 alot, i noticed an annoying lag so i overclocked my vga using Riva Tuner , i raised it from 450 to 480 and i did so with the memory (same ratio of increasing ) it was running fine the first few days...then yesterday i noticed a Serious lag, fps drop from 60 to 20 and 13 , even 4 and 5.. with constant RED FPs meter , i don't know what went wrong i down-clocked as soon as i saw this lag, still lagging...i re installed my drivers for the vga....nothing still lags...i scaned for viruses and i cought like 100 viruses , and stillllll nothing , it's lagging like hell, i don't know what went wrong , it migh be damaged any fixes ? thx every one

I doubt its the video card that's making you lag, if u break something from overclocking it pretty much doesn't work at all anymore

seems like u might have a virus problem; i would look into any extra processes you might have running

I'd wonder if your Hard Drive is dying being that you said this problem came out of nowhere.

Otherwise I'd say you downloaded something you shouldn't have and it's messing with your install of windows. Re-Install windows, check to be sure your hard drive is not the issue and if neither option works, please give us your system specs and operating system in order to help you further.

You're the only one intent on blaming the overclocking.

We're telling you that should not have done anything.

Still think you've got some remnants of a virus or worm or something.....it's NOT from overclocking your video card. If it were, you'd have huge amounts of artifacts on your screen, not system freezing and lagging. That's due to something in your Windows install....think virus or malware.
