Overclocking an AMD 4400 X2 (can only get it up to 2.53 GHz)

When applying the AS5, would you recommend that I spread it on the CPU? The instructions say to just put a small amount in the middle and place the HSF on evenly. Also, should I wait a week until after the AS5's "break-in" period before I OC?

break-in period for most silver compound is somethign like 200hrs.....

message me if it works out- i got the crappy solid aluminum stock HSF with my X2 3800+- it looks the same at the one that came with my 750mhz t-bird almost 1- years ago......

Is it better to use the stock silver-compound on the bottom of an A64 Freezer, or take it off with the Arctic cleaning kit (or alcohol- idk if one works better thnan another) and put on AS5? I was thinking the stock paste is so thin it'll do better than any application I could ever do- and I've got the 3.5gram tube, and was planning on correcting some birth-defects on my 7600GT called thermal-pads (the yucky white and pink ones too!!! on a copper hsf!!! I almost fainted, and then again form joy when eVGA said my lifetime warranty wouldn't be disbanded it I took off their thermal paste for my AS5)
