Hello All

I'm putting together a custom system with the specs below and I had a question.

SPECS
Intel E6600 (2.4)
ZALMAN 9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835118019)
Asus P5W DH Deluxe Motherboard
Corsair DDR-800 1GB x 2
eVga GeForce 7800GT nVidia Graphics Card
Hitachi 160GB SATA
Ultra 500W Power Supply
Coolermaster Centurion 5 - CAC-T05 Case

QUESTION

1-I will be running my system around the clock and I would want to first make sure my system will run stable. Based on this, what percentage above I should set my over clocking goal?
2-I'd like to go to 3.2GHZ would that be too much to run a cool system around the clock? If this is a good goal what should I be setting the FSB, ratio and voltage settings in the bios?
3-By overclocking my cpu would I also be overclocking my memory?

Thank you for all the help fellas!!!

3.2GHz is a goal you should be able to realize, and run 24/7 without problems with your upgraded HSF.

On your chip with a x9 multiplier, You need to set a 355 or 356 Front Side Bus. You could also use a x8 multiplier with a 400FSB.

Your ram will NOT be overclocked at either of these speeds. It is specc'd to run at a 400FSB. You may have to bump up the voltage on it a little bit though to get it stable at that speed. 2.1V on the ram should be lots.

Use Coretemp or Intel's Thermal analysis tool to monitor your temps, and try to keep them below 60C.

Search around here for tons of info on OC'ing your chip.

Good luck!
