Overclocking A64 and memory frequency

Hi all,

Hi all,

Just a quick question....

I have clocked my system to HTT (FSB) 250mhz x 4 HT and 10.5 x 250 (AMD A64
4000) which is fine and the BIOS shows the mem frequency as 250MHz giving me
my 1:1 ratio - all good.

CPU-Z (2.6) shows memory frequency also at 250mhz - Can this be right using a divider?

My setup

AMD A64 4000 @ 2650
2x512 Corsair xms 3200 C2XL @ 250mhz (1T)
MSI K8N Diamond SLI (with latest BIOS)
2x Gigabyte GF6800 ultra's @ 425/1100
win xp pro (SP1)

your not using a divider unless you don't know how to divide 1 by 1 correctly, if thats the case 1/1 =1. so, yes you are using a divider of 1:1

Sorry must have confused what I'm asking...

I've just run CPU-Z 2.7 and by using the multiplier 10.5 with a HTT of 250mhz my memory runs at 236mhz.....I'm now assuming 1:1 ratio on half-integer dividers doesn't work with A64's....

I'm now running at 11x246 and mem is in sync at 246mhz x 4 marginally lower than the 1000mhz but stable and low voltage....
