overclocking a old ati

is there any way to overclock a ati rage iic. im thinking of swiching to it for a faster boot time. since i dont play games on my computer the geforce 2 is not any faster. the geforce 2 is pci and takes maby 10 sec to boot.

You're a little confused here. The cards don't affect the system boot times, the drivers do. Overclocking won't make an ounce of difference.

nevermind i switched the gf2 for the rage and the image sucks. i'll stick with my gf2.

actualy with the pci cards you need to wait for the graphics card to boot befor the bios will. it takes like 10 secs more than with a agp card

He was probably referring to PCI and AGP slot initialization - some cards actually have to sync up with the system bus and then get initialized or hit and then they display - boot time can be called into consideration - but A card should usually never take that long to initialize...
