Anyone got any good links or information on overclocking a Hightech ATI Radeon 9800 Pro Iceq 128MB to the 9800XT standards.

I have seen quite a bit of information about how easy this is but no instructions.

Many Thanks

Download RivaTuner or ATITools (search Google), and start raising core and memory clocks.

even powerstrip will do ya....if your cards an absolute gem, then MAYBE you can flash the bios...but my advice is to stick to software modding and get it as high as it will safely go without risking your card :)
IMHO

Okay fantastic, Will incresing the Core and memory speeds to XT level decrease the life of the card. I am sure that I will be buying another one in a year or so when the new range of Ati cards get cheaper.

You shouldn't have a problem as long as it is cooled adequately. If it gets realy hot you may want to consider a cooler like the Arctic cooling VGA Silencer.

is a 9800 xt just an overclocked 9800 pro with 256 megs mem? i hit 425mhz with a stock card, so you should be able to get way past that, but you may be limited with your memory, i'm at 355.
