hello people as you see im kinda new here but i got a couple questions so here it goes
I am a newer owner of the p4pe-bp (i bought it before the 800fsb processors came out) my question really is several questions. Ok first let me explain my system (or how I?m planning on building it) I got a 400mhz power supply, the p4pe-bp MB, 1 gig memory, 100gig hardrive, DVD player...... (And so on) ok know the question:
1) I heard that my p4pe-bp MB (motherboard) will down clock the 800mhz front side bus processors to 533mhz is this true??
2) I know that when you overclock processors and MB's you run the risk of frying stuff. But, if the above question is true, is there ANY risk to frying ANYTHING if you overclock it 200mhz (to a total of 733mhz) (depending on you?re answer I plan on having the 2.6ghz processor with 800mhz front side bus)since you will still be under the proposed 800mhz is there ANY risk here??
3) of course this is considering that I have the proper heatsinc and fan but that the next question what type (brand name) of fan and heat sinc would you recommend for this (I don?t plan on having liquid cooled I heard its to hard to work with)
4) Is there any plan any plan (and if it?s even possible) for a update for the p4pe-bp to be updated to accept 800mhz front side bus as a standard?
