I am in the process of buying an AMD T-bird and I need some advice. If I buy the 1.2 gig 266MHZ FSB CPU would this limit my overclocking potential as oppsed to purchasing a 200 MHZ FSB 1.2 gig t-birs cpu?

Think about the mulitplier options of the board you will be using. At 266 and 1.2 gig the multiplier will be 9. I know that some boards will support a multiplier of at least 12 to accomodate 200 T-birds. Question is will these 266 parts have more overhead than the current 200 MHZ parts. I'd sit still until I saw a review or two highlighting the overclock capability of these new parts with available moboards!

I agree with Dulanic. My 1.2ghz runs just fine at 9X150.....at lower than default voltage even (1.7v).

you may want to go with a 200 MHz CPU, because there are some articles floating around the net how FSB overclocking (because it increases the speed the memory is running at) to the same clock speed is better than multiplier overclocking.
